MIH is an enamel defect affecting both anterior and posterior teeth. Apart from causing pain and sensitivities, aesthetics is the major concern for the patients. There are confusions what treatment options will be the most appropriate with minimal damage to the teeth. This seminar will clarify some of the misunderstanding and discuss the management technique according to the modalities of the defects.   1.5h Online CPD Course (In English)

Objectives

· To present the modalities and types of MIH

· To present the aesthetic management of anterior teeth for children/adolescents with MIH

· To present treatment options of posterior teeth for children with MIH

Speaker

Professor Ferranti Wong is Professor / Honorary Consultant and head of Paediatric Dentistry at the Barts and The London School SMD, Queen Maty University of London. He is also a council member and chair of SAB (Paed Dent) of FDS, RCSEd. He was interim Dean and Director of the dental institute and associated dental dean of the London Deanery. He is fully engaged in dental education and speciality training, being course director of DClinDent programme, examiners of MPaedDent and ISFE, and external examiner in other universities for both UG and PG programmes. His research interests include caries prevention, de- and re-mineralisation with novel biomaterials, and clinical management. He has obtained grants for clinical trials from NIHR. Professor Wong’s clinical interests are management of MIH, hypodontia, dental trauma and developmental anomalies. He has an international reputation and has been invited as keynote speakers in many conferences.
