Course Summary: 

 A unique inter-professional session where the clinical and the technical experts teach along-side each other. Taught by two Award-winning Tutors; one a clinician, the other a technician with a combined 31 years of experience. Enhance your skills and learn to better assess, design and deliver your prosthetic work-flow. Gain additional techniques to improve denture retention, stability, and aesthetics. A course which provides functional and pragmatic solutions to the everyday clinical challenges when delivering dentures to partially dentate patients. In addition to useful and applicable knowledge, you will gain confidence with a hands-on RPD Design session, with an opportunity to share insights and listen to fellow delegates in a reflective discussion.     

Aims & Objectives:

A session designed for the General Dental Practitioner (GDP) working in a mixed practice. Designed to provide practical and pragmatic solutions for those who are wanting to improve denture provision to their patients.

A unique inter-professional session where the clinical and the technical experts teach along-side each other. Taught by two Award-winning Tutors; one a clinician, the other a technician with a combined 31 years of experience.

Speakers:

Mr Chad Everett Cluff

Technician - N Dip (Dent Tech), FdSc, CILT, AFHEA

 a Tutor in the Centre of Adult Oral Health, at Bart's and the London, School of Medicine and Dentistry. Having gained the National Award (2005) in Dental Technology, he went on to study at the Eastman Dental Hospital where he completed his FdSc in Dental Technology awarded by De Montfort University, Leicester (2008). A Former Council Member for the Dental Technologist Association (DTA). He is an Associate Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (HEA) having been awarded the Certificate in Learning and Teaching (CILT) 2013.  He is currently module lead (occlusion) and an internal examiner for the MSc Dental Technology course (QMUL), sits on the Editorial Board for Primary Dental Journal, produced by the Faculty of General Dental Practice (FGDP UK) and Awarded Non-Clinical Teacher of the Year 2019 by Barts & The London Students Association (BLSA)  

Dr Ali Nankali

Clinician - D. Stom, CMS, PhD, FHEA, Prosthodontics

Dr Ali Nankali is a clinical Senior Lecturer in Teaching ad Innovation (Oral Adult Health) Centre in the Barts and the London Medical and Dental School. In 1998, he took a keen interest in restorative dentistry which led him to commence his extensive research. Following his research, he proposed to the scientific board of the Orthopaedic and Implant department of the NMU a number of novel inventions including Nankali Post System, Nankali bur as well as new classifications for Post/Core and Masticatory force. He was awarded his PhD in 2004 by National Medical University (NMU) in Kiev, Ukraine where he registered as a specialist / consultant in Prosthodontics. Furthermore, his engineering background in addition to his prosthetics and Maxillofacial clinical experiences helped him in achieving ground-breaking outcomes that brought him to the attention of the scientific community. At his current position, Dr Nankali is known as an international speaker and is involved with undergraduate, postgraduate students teaching and supervising PhD students as well as regularly running CPD and other courses. Awarded ‘Best Clinical Lecture’ Barts Dental Institute by Student Dental Society 2017 and Awarded Clinical Teacher of the Year by Barts & The London Students Association (BLSA).
