About the Event

Course Summary:

This is a unique introduction to the diagnosis and management of TMD and related pain in the setting of general practice. We have designed the course in the form of a patient journey from first meeting, through screening, treatment and then diagnosis and how we explain to our patients. It is designed to reinforce the background information needed to manage these patients and to make sure that they comprehend the condition so as to be in a position to give informed consent. You will also be made aware of the current ideas on aetiology, and the occurrence of these disorders in general. A simple and quick diagnostic procedure will also be discussed in addition to various diagnostic tests and their value. Finally, the various treatment options will be considered.
