Get Ready for DeStCo-ART 2025!

We are thrilled to announce the return of DeStCo-ART (Dental Student Competition – Art) for 2025! Dental students from around the world are invited to showcase their creativity and imagination by exploring this year’s exciting theme:
“Implications of AI in the Future of Dentistry.”

This is your opportunity to express how you envision artificial intelligence shaping the future of our profession — through your unique artistic lens. Whether you see AI as a tool for diagnosis, treatment planning, education, or beyond, we encourage you to bring your vision to life through art.

With fantastic prizes, recognition, and the chance to inspire your peers, DeStCo-ART 2025 promises to be a memorable celebration of art, technology, and dentistry.

Submission Guidelines

We welcome entries across a wide range of artistic mediums, including (but not limited to):

• Photography

• Paintings

• Sketches

• Collage

• Digital art and 3D design

• Models (origami, sculpture, clay, cardboard)

• Woodwork

• Textile art (embroidery, knitting, rug making, dyeing)

 

How to submit:
Please upload a high-resolution image of your artwork (JPEG or PNG format) along with the completed submission form via the upload link provided on this page.

Selection Process

All submissions will be reviewed by the DeStCo-ART approval committee, consisting of UKDC team members, artists, academics, and sponsors.
Finalists will be selected by the committee and presented for public voting.
Public voting will take place through this page. Voters do not need to be dentists — anyone passionate about art is welcome to vote.
Only votes cast within the designated voting period will be counted.

 

Prizes

🥇 First Place:

• Approx. £500 contribution towards a pair of loupes or equivalent voucher for digital dental tools

• 100 hours of free online CPD courses (AI/digital dentistry focus)

• Posturedontics book

• UKDC branded flask (suitable for hot and cold drinks)

• First place certificate and medal

 

🥈 Second Place:

• Suture practice kit

• 50 hours of free online CPD courses

• Posturedontics book

• UKDC branded flask

• Second place certificate and medal

 

🥉 Third Place:

• Suture practice kit

• 25 hours of free online CPD courses

• Posturedontics book

• UKDC branded flask

• Third place certificate and medal

 

🌟 All Finalists:

• Every finalist will receive 10 hours of free online CPD courses from UKDentalCourses, along with a Certificate of Appreciation to celebrate their contribution to DESTCO-ART 2025.
