About the Event
Course Summary:
All members of the dental team have a responsibility to be involved in the maintenance and development of good practice. In order to deliver high standards of care, it is vital to understand Clinical governance.
Clinical governance is defined as a framework through which NHS organisations are accountable for continuously improving the quality of their services and safeguarding high standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence in clinical care will flourish. In the UK, it is an NHS and CQC requirement. Whilst there may be some variances, the principles of quality assurance apply internationally.
This course will break down the individual factors that constitute the framework of clinical governance. It will cover clinical effectiveness, risk management, patient focus and public involvement. This course will also cover the differences between audit and research, and the importance of evidence-based practice.
This course is particularly helpful if you wish to consider applying for hospital jobs, job interviews, specialty training or royal college exams, as this is a subject consistently tested.
